Year-End Giving

Put a smile on his face, and a roof over their heads. As you are planning your year-end giving, please consider donating to Bridge of Hope. A donation at this time will go toward funding the building materials for the homes scheduled for the next short term mission trips.

The cost to build each home is $800-$1000. This includes the cost of the posts, wood siding, corrugated tin roofing, hinges and nails.  Please pray about this opportunity to bless as you have been blessed.

Opportunities to Serve

When we approached the Ixil people of Guatemala about their needs they asked us for three things:

Medical Assistance. Most of the people have never seen a doctor. It is our desire to bring primary, non-surgical medical care to the region to assess the current health situation, and treat whatever is reasonable. We would then arrange for more intensive care at a hospital facility in neighboring areas. Please contact us if you have medical
training (physician, NP, PA or nurse) and are willing to serve.

Bring the Youth. Since BOH began in 2005, we have been bringing youth to the region. These dedicated teens (and sometimes pre-teens) return year after year. It is the prayer of the Ixil people that their plight is heard and not forgotten, and they believe that the American youth are their pathway to that objective. Adults go on the trip and return home forever changed. Youth go on the trip and return home to live compassionately, and become world changers as adults.

More Trips Per Year. Jesus says in Matthew 9:37-38, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” There is no end of need in the region-no end of poverty, homelessness, hunger and sickness. You can help provide housing, food, economic assistance and medical care one person at a time.
